How We Work – Custom Cabinetry Process
- We work directly with individual clients, interior designers and decorators, architects and building contractors and offer an initial free consultation to learn the scope of the project.
- All work is custom and built to specification. We work with each customer to create the design, select the woods and finish, and decide on any added elements or personalization. For complex projects, technical drawings may be required and will be provided for an additional agreed upon fee.
- Once a design is finalized and agreed, a detailed order will be prepared for signature. A deposit will be required and a payment schedule will be established.
- Because all cabinet work and furniture is custom, please call for lead times. We recommend that you allow 4-6 weeks, depending upon project scope and complexity.
- Prices are provided upon request and based on variables such as project complexity, choice of materials (e.g. wood species, vintage or antique), and specific design elements.

All work done by RICHARD GRAY CABINETMAKER is custom made to each client’s specifications, including the design, wood and finish, and prices vary accordingly.
Variations to consider in determining the actual price of a specific project or cabinet include wood selection, (e.g. cherry, mahogany, etc) and type (e.g. new or vintage), finish (e.g. stained, oiled or painted), the addition of shelves, doors, and the number of drawers.
We have a tradition of offering quality custom work, a reputation for fair and honest prices, and a long-standing clientele who can provide references upon request.
